David Gorman, a Honolulu native and Punahou School alumnus, is a Partner and President of RevoluSun. Holding a BA in Economics from the University of Hawai'i, David's career journey began in New York, where he served as an Associate with Pequot Ventures (now FirstMark Capital). Later, he joined Capital IQ, a data and analytics startup, now a division of Standard and Poor's.
Upon returning to Hawai'i in 2009, David joined a nascient local solary industry and, given his background in finance, helped organize some of the early private power purchsae agreements on Maui. Upon joining RevoluSun in 2011, David developed commercial PV projects, launched a RevoluSun franchise in Boston, MA, led the residential sales team through the end of Net Metering and the transition to distributed storage, oversaw the development of RevoluSun's proprietary software design tool (one of the first with integrated storage modeling) and currently oversees RevoluSun's residential operations as its President.
Outside of his professional life, he resides in Hawaii Kai with his wife Traci, three children, two cats, one dog and a chicken. In his spare time, he enjoys coaching baseball, stand-up paddleboarding, hiking, and camping.
