As Vice President of Technical Services, Evelyn leads SEIA’s technology initiatives and technical programs that support both the development, advocacy, and implementation of legislative and regulatory policy. These initiatives include the technically-based solutions that facilitate the solar industry’s continued rapid growth and additionally mitigate business risks for its members abd industry.
Her team covers building and energy codes, solar and storage equipment product standards, standards development, operations and maintenance, permitting and jnterconnection, standards development, sustainability, and quality assurance initiatives that increase consistency and quality. These efforts collectively promote safety and quality in product selection and installation. She is active in the development and commercialization of the Solar Automated Permit Processing Plus (SolarAPP+), a software program that enables automated permitting of residential solar and storage, including serving as a board director and treasurer of the SolarAPP Foundation, and on various technical committees, including that which is creating requirements for the SERI R2 PV recycler standard. She leads the association’s Environmental and Social Governance and Sustainability efforts to develop programs and standards for responsible supply chains and sustainable end-of-life strategies for solar and storage equipment.
Prior to joining SEIA, Evelyn worked at UL Solutions for over two decades, establishing and leading its global solar business, international market development, and service portfolio development and management.
