Her commitment isn't limited to her company; she actively contributes as a member of the Hawaii Solar Energy Association (HSEA) and the DPP Solar PV Task Force, helping expedite permitting timelines and drive progress. Furthermore, she is deeply involved in solar education within the community and elementary schools for STEM days and Career Days.
Rachel has a proven track record in issue identification, solution creation, and process development. Under her leadership, Mālama Solar achieved a significant milestone by being recognized as the fastest-growing company in Hawaii for the past three years. This remarkable growth also secured Mālama Solar a coveted spot on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list of Fastest Growing Private Companies in the US for two consecutive years. During her presence on this platform, Rachel engaged with fellow business owners, sharing insights on the obstacles and challenges her company successfully navigated.
Rachel holds 2 Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Communicology, and a Master's degree in Communicology, consistently achieving Summa Cum Laude honors and demonstrating her commitment to excellence in academia and her profession.
