Regional Sales Manager, Hawai'i
Enphase Energy
Kula, Hawaii, United States
Born and raised on Maui, I struggled as a young adult to find something that not only allowed me stay in Hawaii and raise my family with the same lifestyle, but I also wanted to do my part to give back to the Aina. In 2009 I found that both could be true when I started working for local maui installer- Rising Sun Solar. I ran the Sales & Marketing teams on all islands for 6 years before being recruited by Sunpower Corp. as the Hawaii Regional Sales Manager. To say I’ve seen a lot and have been through a lot of changes in the market since then is an understatement. From tax credit changes to loss of NEM,, the ability to adapt to the market and to help the Installers of Hawaii figure out how to conform to many new realities and challenges has been the most exciting and challenging period of my career. AKA Storage. I purchased the first 100 Tesla PW1’s in Hawaii, before they transitioned to the AC coupled version. My knowledge and experience with PV + Storage and the Hawaii market conditions is significant, however, the most rewarding experiences stem from the relationships I have built along the way. Hawaii installers are not only my customers, but they are also my Ohana. My current role is with Enphase Energy as the Hawaii Regional Sales Manager. Here I work with installers every day to help them deliver cost savings and resiliency to their customers using Enphase solar and battery technology. I have seen firsthand the impact that HECO programs can have on customers and am motivated to be a good partner in dialogue within HSEA and with the broader community to help ensure everyone gets to benefit from solar for many years to come.
