Empowering Communities: Building Resilience for Hawai'i’s Residents and Businesses to Mitigate the Dual Affordability and Housing Crises

This session will explore the nexus of energy efficiency, distributed solar and energy storage, and resilience infrastructure in Hawai'i’s built environment, and how it can be utilized to lower costs, create jobs, and drive innovation and investment in climate technologies to mitigate impacts and causes of global heating. We'll discuss how better building solutions and other infrastructure provide transformative potential to address Hawai'i's housing and affordability crises while simultaneously enhancing resilience, environmental sustainability, and community restoration.
